Horsefeathers Farm came about
as the result of my wanting to keep my horse, a lovely seal brown Saddlebred gelding, in my backyard. The neighborhood
association where we lived at the time just wouldn't give me permission to do that, so I found us 15 wonderful acres to live
on. And now, here we are, me, the hubby, my lovely Shadow (the horse) and his buddies, dogs, cats, llamas, chickens
(the feathers), and guinea fowl (FOWL not pigs).

Our Business Philosophy
The objective of our business is to provide high quality products. We continue to experiment
with different base oils and combinations of these oils. New fragrances are searched out and endlessly tested. Products
are always being improved or replaced as better ones are found. We hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and using
our products as much as we enjoy providing them for you.
Our Employees
Employees play an important role in any business. Horsefeathers Farm Soap and Fragrances
has one human and a bunch of four-legged helpers. I handmake all of the soaps, sprays, body mists and powders. I
am assisted by dogs, cats, horses, llamas, chickens and guinea fowl. I also create and print the labels, fill the bottles
or bags, package the orders and take them to the delivery service. My husband helps me, too. He built and maintains this
Website. He also has built several of the molds and various other tools I use in the creation of our products. He's
a pretty good guy.

Our Company
We are located on 15 acres of pastures, woods and prairie land northeast of Indianapolis, IN. The farm
was started in 2000 with the building of our house, garage and barn. Since then, we have fenced pastures, built horse stalls
in the barn, built a guinea fowl house and yard and built a chicken coop (we call it the Cackleberry Inn). There are also
a couple of chicken tractors located close to the Cackleberry Inn.
Our Logo
For a logo I told my husband I wanted a horse with peacock feathers in place of the mane and tail.
Neither one of us is that good an artist! However, if you know of someone or are someone who is a fantasy artist, let
me know!!
Well, I got an offer to design a logo for Horsefeathers Farm from Esta Weiss. She is a graphics artist and a Website Designer. We worked together for several weeks and finally our new logo evolved.
Please click on the logo to get a full sized image.
Esta did a great job, but I would still welcome any other artist to create a work of art that would fit
my description of a horse with peacock feathers in place of the mane and tail. I might even start a page of "Horsefeathers"
art works.
